London: Veteran actor Richard Dreyfus appeared in the movie Poseidon only because he was offered a lot of money. Dreyfus had announced his retirement from Hollywood to focus on theatre but he was coaxed by the hefty pay he received from the movie. He says: "It was because they offered me enough money to do the things I want to do now like teaching, lecturing and reading about history. I need the money because when I was earning well, I was not handling it as wisely as I should have done.
