After much popularity of Friendster.com another site came to bring a new cyber atmosphere to the filipino community. After the rise of popular networking sites, earlier last month has made a 19 yrs old Mapuan student to open up another social networking site for filipinos.

The site called oyaye.com- to date boasts 900 members who signed up to try the new social networking site. Much of the features are similar to friendster but the site is currently experimenting on a new feature that will inter-connect filipinos around the world to reunite with their old friends online by being a member of their school under the site.

With its name coined from "Oh Ya Yeah" as a general brand name to site like Yahoo, it is hoping to be a household name in the future. And with its founder recent discovery that Oyaye is also a traditional filipino name could help the site get some slice of the philippine online market share.

And because the site is still in beta, Jerome has said that the site has still have a long way to go. Jerome added : "The site is still new but I'm doing my best to enhance the site everyday, I hope that this would bring all the filipinos together".
