Patient misidentification and safety is a critical issue concerning blood transfusions. Reducing the risk of human error during transfusions through an effective patient identification system can help save patient lives. Features include comfortable moisture resistant bands with pre numbered insert cards, transfusion numbers and sequential numbering to clearly identify the patient and blood container, and adhesive labels which firmly adhere to wet and refrigerated blood containers or tie tags.
